Rant: why is ADE unreliable garbage?

I just need to vent...why does ADE have such regular issues?

 

I'm a regular user of Overdrive, both with Libby (which is superb BTW) and ADE + Kobo & Nook.

Periodically, ADE just refuses to work. I have to do the usual escalating fixes: reauthorize the device > reauthorize ADE > reinstall ADE...

 

In this current iteration of garbage-ness, ADE completely freezes after fulfilling an ACSM file from Overdrive. Reinstall to no effect. I guess some software update is causing it to have a melt down....?

 

I mean, I know its free...but what a piece of crap.

(There...I feel better...)

      Would Adobe take notice if the hundreds of thousands of people who hate ADE (i.e. every single university student and employee) bombarded their sales department with ADE complaints?

      Ha Ha.. I don't mean to laught but I feel ya. I like Overdrive and ADE is in no comparisson to it. My lovely local libray just switched away from Overdrive and now I have this lovely platform to use to read my free ebooks.  Not a happy camper.  (There.. I feel better too...)   🙂  smiley face
