Installed ADE 2 but unable to authorise computer

We need more detail about exactly what you are doing and how it is failing.

One possible problem is that ADE is so poorly written that it does not accept passwords with special characters (including even accented letters).

The Adobe site (quite properly) allows you to create such passwords.

ADE does not give sensible error messages about the situation.

If that could the the issue, log on at the Adobe web site and weaken your password.
