re: ebook digital editions installer 3.0 and 2.0

I have downloaded digital editions 3.0 and 2.0 installers on my Mac 2010 model. But am unable to open any ebooks asI get the message "no application to support it." Can you please advise?

    Thank you for your reply. However I am unable to view your answer in the adobe digital editions/discussions. Would you please forward me your answer to my email address priyamukundhan@ymail.com? I have downloaded the digital edition 3.0 installer on my MAC but am unable to open the ebook with an .ascm file.
