Re my continuing attempt to get this program to work

Question

Digital Editions still refuses to open books I have purchase from Kobo. Further, it now refuses to open the splash page, showing books previously downloaded.

So, for the THIRD time, can someone please explain what hoops I have to jump through to get this thing working again?

And of course, my ORIGINAL problem, that I could not get it to open a specific book I'd purchased? Anyone have a clue?
For your information, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, multiple times, with Versions 2, 3, and 5. NONE of them are working for me.

At least it's good to know that I'm not the only one who can't open some books and there is no solution anywhere. Support here is terrible, I'm afraid.
