Reading an Overdrive Adobe epub book on a NOOK HD+

When I download a book from the Overdrive Library in the Adobe epub  format to my Nook HD+ , I get a dialog box asking for a userid and  password when I try to read it.  It will not take my Adobe password and  userID, it tells me one of the two are incorrect.  I have the nook HD+  authorized with Overdrive with the same password and userid as my laptop  computer.  What is wrong and how can i fix this problem?  Do I need to  deauthorize both the Laptop and Nook and startover?
