reauthorise old computer

Question

Hi,my old computer died,I've downloaded my books from kobo website to new computer.When I try to authorize new computer with my Adobe ID I get a message saying that I can only authorize it with an Adobe ID that hasn't been previously used to authorize any other computer or mobile devices.How do I deauthorize my old computer? I've tried following the help pages and it brings me to a chat screen but Adobe Digital Editions is not listed as a product on the chat screen.

That's really strange because you're supposed to be able to use your Adobe ID on up to six devices. I, too, am trying to deregister my devices so that I can load a new one, but have not had any luck getting through LiveChat yet.
