receiving activation server error when authorizing compter with digital editions

I'm attempting to authorize the computer using Adobe Digital Editions, but am receiving the following error:

Activation Server error

code: E_AUTH_NOT_READY

Digital Editions encountered an error on the activation server.

Is there a way to fix this?

Found this link on a different forum and it worked for me on a MAC
