Remove duplicate entries in ADE library?

I fulfilled a number of purchased ebooks in my library on ADE 4.5.3 for Windows using .acsm files.

Due to some complications I mistakenly imported a number of these .acsm files multiple times.

The result is that the books now appear multiple times in my library.

Although I have tried to delete the duplicate entries from within ADE, they always reappear the next time the library syncs.

Is there any way to remove them permanently?
