Remove Highlight

How can I remove a highlight from text that I just hilighted?

    Double click the highlight and on the box that opens go to the top right hand corner to delete the highlight.

      That method is not working for me. The text I highlighted is still highlighted even after selecting "Delete Highlight".

      I noticed that you can highlight the same text multiple times, it gets a bit darker with every new higlight "layer". If this is the case, you must delet all of the layers.
