Hi,

Adobe Digital Editions Learn & Support says to request to reset activations if having issues.

Contact Customer Care However, the contact page that is directed to leads to this forum, which doesn't seem like an appropriate channel.

Can someone from adobe please reset my account?

Thanks.

I'm waiting on a customer service chat to do the same thing.  It's ridiculous.  At this point, any avid reader has most likely upgraded ereaders multiple times, as well as authorizing Overdrive on their tablets and mobiles.  The six authorizations limit isn't practical anymore, especially when there's no way to see how many you've used, and no easy way to get them reset, or expanded, or whatever.

Now, of course, my Kobo is telling me to de-authorize and re-authorize, using up one more!

On Android, one does not need the ADE app, where a e-reader app can seek authorization directly, but if it had these functions it would be a big help. The below was my comment on the app page in  Google Play:

Does not allow deauthoriztion: Over the last two years I have read my DRM purchases on a sequence of android tablets, and phones. At any point in time only one tablet & one phone. The problem is that with wipe and reinstall of apps I have run into 'Your account has exceeded the maximum number of activations' . This blocks me from reading purchased DRM content. Adobe forum posts give no insights, but shows many in the same situation. Can you modify this app so that I can 'deauthorize' devices so to reduce an apparent 'counter' of activations, [stored by Adobe?]. To modify the device list, or better still, just to blank out the device list would allow users to authorize the correct short list of current devices. Today I can buy a new book, using an account associated with my email, where I have already 'exceeded' then it will mean that I cannot read the book on any device [supposing also that all old phones & tablets have had the apps wiped] as I cannot make my new/current device 'authorized'. The app and the service would be 5* with this change. The email address published on the play.google.com page will not allow inbound email to share this criticism.
