Suddenly I can not copy text from my ebooks!? Help

Hi I am a law student and was working with my ebook yesterday when suddenly the copy option stopped working, soon after i got problems with adding notes to text, I would press ad note to text and then 3 min. later the note would generate. I rebooted, and reinstalled but nothing works.

The whole reason for purchasing the ebook format was the copy paste option, now I have to type everything and this file is made especially for Adobe Degital Editions.

Please help.
