I was using adobe editions authorised without an ID when I created an account and authorised adobe editions with that. I was unable to open any of the books i already had downloaded. It says that the book needs to be opened by a vendor ID when I type n my abode id and password it says. " The vendor account you entered is not associated with the item you are trying to open. Try again." I have tried erasing the authorisation and trying but it the same thing happens. Please help as i am going insane.

2025, the same error message still in the process. The Adobe support even told me that they are unable to solve because it is the SAAS product (am not sure if this is relevant, but that was their excuse). Anyway, I managed to partially bypass it. I downloaded the Pocketbook app that is able to read ADE too, made authorization but it did not help on my main mobile phone. Then I did the same process with the Pocketbook app on my second mobile phone without a previous try to install the ADE app and vuala, it is working, I am reading. But I do not get it; I am logged in with the same e-mail, the same account, everything same, but one mobile cannot, second can read the book ... so at least that.

I've been trying for two days now - reading ALL the advice, doing everything that was suggested in the various forums, 8 years later and nothing WORKS! Why is Adobe carrying on with the DRM-stupid thing and when we all ask for advice, NOTHING works!! Don't ask me: have you the latest version of this and that? Have you got blah-blah and did you deauthorize and authorize again, I've done it ALL, nothing like in nothing in all the forums work!

Try this (it worked for me):

1) In ADEditions, go to Help --> Erase Authorization

2) In ADEditions, go to Help --> Authorize [using Adobe ID]

3) Select Book(s) --> right click --> Remove from Library

4) Re-add book(s) (in case that you have an .acsm file with a link, open this file with ADEditions)

Are you sure you've downloaded the lastest version of this free app (4.5.4)?
