Transfer failed in my Sony PRS-T1

Hello, I've just downloaded ADE: when I tried to transfer an ebook I took from my online public library to my device (a Sony PRS-T1, it is in the list of supported devices) I failed, because ADE couldn't see it.

I followed the instructions step by step, but my device didn't appear on the left side in ADE.

What should I do?
