transfer of e-book to iPad

Good Morning

my name is Catherine I have an e-book which I need to urgently transfer to my iPad. I have downloaded Digital Editions on my PC and iPad and authorized both. my copy of Getting Started has disappeared from my PC the e-book is still there how do i transfer the ebook to the iPad?
