Transferring ebook to galaxy tab 2 10.1 from pc

Hi all, i've been trying to transfer an ebook (epub file) which is downloaded and authorised on my laptop and works fine to my tablet. I've tried using bluefire (works fine on laptop) but it won't open the ebook on the tablet, you can see the book but the front cover doesn't display and you get the error message about access being denied despite bluefire being logged in to my ADE user. Likewise i've tried Aldiko, UB Reader and play books but none of them will open the book, saying that either the file format is unsupported or in the case of play books it just keeps on 'processing'.

Any ideas would be really appreciated.
