Trouble authorizing Digital Editions 3.0

I've downlaoded Digital Editions 3.0 for Mac, but when I try to open an ebook, the following message appears: Activation Server error - code E_ADEPT_REQUEST_EXPIRED.  I've clicked 'Try Again' several times, but without success.  Does anybody have any helpful hints?  Thanks 🙂
