Trouble finding devices

Hi I can't find my s22ultra nor my tab a8 in ADE, all the books are on my laptop and work. I've tried to connect my broken(screen) e-reader and it got actually picked up in the device list, but none of the other devices are. Anyone know what to do please? I'm travelling from Monday onwards so really need some help. Thx
