Trouble getting a Google Play ebook onto my Kobo Aura reader

I have bought a google play ebook and I am trying to get it onto my Kobo Aura reader. I am trying to add the acsm file to my Digital Editions (which I extensively use for my library books) but it is giving me an "Error! Check Activation" message
