Trouble transferring book from ADE to Kobo

I'm having trouble transferring books (from the public library) to my Kobo.

I have managed to download them into ADE. 

In ADE, my Kobo appears under 'Devices', not 'Booksheves'.  Apparently it needs to be in bookshelves for me to drag the book there and then have it register on my Kobo.  (dragging the book to 'Kobo eReader' under 'Devices' looks like it should work... it appears in that folder, but it doesn't show up on the actual Kobo device.  Yes, I have the Kobo plugged in, connected, and everything is registered).

How do I get my Kobo onto the Bookshelves?

Please help!!

    Somebody else (SydneyW) recently had a similar problem and resolved it by a factory reset of the Kobo.

    Check back in recent threads.

    Make sure you back up any books held on the Kobo and nowhere else before the factory reset.
