Two computers not allowed>

I have read I am allowed to have up to six computers & devices connected to my Digital Editions ID.

When I try to add my netbook to my adobe ID it says there is already a computer connected to that ID & I need a different ID,  WHY?

I have already tried a chat line but they were not familiar with the problem & could not help.

Is there really any Digital editions help available?
