unable to activate authorization of computer

I know my sign in and my password...I have allowed cookies and also turned off NUM LOCK.  I had the previous version of Adobe Digital and purchased 2 books and it asked me to update--did it.....   every time I try to authorize my computer I get an error message tell me that the "authention server is busy"  plus something else which I have forgottem. 

In signing in to get here I tried using all my user names and they said they weren't available----because they are mine ??

any help would be appreciated

    The problem is solved-I had to call Sony as well because my Reader froze.........he fixed everything and told me "how not" to have this problem again.

    Funny thing is I do have an Adobe ID---but the computer kept telling me that the Activation site was busy.

    soooo I'm now enjoying the books I purchased
