Unable to Authorize ADE on windows 8.1

I have Adobe Digital edition 4.5.7 on windows 8.1X64, I was able to successfully erase the authorization, however when i tried to reauthorize i am not able to as after I click on re-authorization nothing happens.

Can you please help me with it.

    Hi Vittori,

    If you are using the ADE version 4.5.7.181275 (Check it using Help->About Digital Editions), please un-install and try to download/install the updated ADE installer (4.5.7.182628) from the following URL and then try to authorize and see if that works-
