Unable to authorize Adobe Digital Editions and PocketBook with valid Adobe ID

Dear Adobe Support,

I am experiencing an issue with Adobe DRM that prevents me from reading DRM-protected eBooks.

I recently created an Adobe account and I can successfully sign in to account.adobe.com using my email address and password without any problems. However, I cannot authorize either Adobe Digital Editions or my PocketBook e-reader with the same credentials.

Here is what happens:

  • I downloaded and installed Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 on my Windows PC.
  • When I try to authorize my computer using Adobe ID as the eBook provider, ADE displays the error:
"Incorrect ID/password for this eBook vendor."
  • I have verified multiple times that my email address and password are correct because I can log in successfully at account.adobe.com.
  • I have already reset my password, but the problem persists.
  • I have tried both a personal Gmail account and a school email account. The exact same problem occurs with both accounts.
  • I also tried authorizing my PocketBook PB619 (Verse) directly with the same Adobe ID, but it reports that the email address or password is incorrect.
  • After downloading the ACSM file again, I was eventually able to proceed further, but I still cannot authorize ADE because it continues to reject my Adobe ID credentials.
  • My computer's date, time, and time zone are correct.
  • I am using the latest version of Adobe Digital Editions (4.5).

Since I can successfully log into my Adobe account on the Adobe website, but both Adobe Digital Editions and my PocketBook reject the exact same credentials, I suspect there may be an issue with my Adobe DRM authorization rather than with my account itself.

Could you please check whether there is a problem with my Adobe ID or its DRM authorization, and advise me on how to resolve this issue?

Thank you for your assistance.

Kind regards,

Felix
