Unable to cancel computer authorization

Hello. Whenever I try to cancel the activation of my Mac computer, I receive the error "Unable to erase authorization. Please try after some time."

I've followed the following instructions as suggested in prior posts:

Mac:

1. Go-> Go to folder.

Go to folder dialog will appear.

2. Type   ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions

drag the activation.dat file to the trash.

ADE will be deauthorized now.

Now Authorize ADE again.

ADE will be deauthorized now.

Now Authorize ADE again.

HOWEVER

When I go to Library/Application Support/Adobe, there is no Digital Editions file and I haven't been able to find the activation.dat file anywhere either.
