unable to download an epub

ia unable to download in digital editions   I get an erroR message saying

error getting license server communication problem: E-ACT-NOT-READY

any help would be appreiated. I have uninstalled and reinstalled adobe digital aditions.  I have unauthorized and reauthoriazed my computer which is an iMac. thank you!
