Unable to Download Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_ADEPT_INTERNAL

Question

"Unable to Download. Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_ADEPT_INTERNAL", is the error message I get when I attempt to download an ebook.  Is there a fix or some trouble shooting information that will allow me to resolve this problem.  I have a MacBook Pro with operating system OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.4.

	quit Adobe Digital Editions.
