Unable to navigate in windows 7

My didigtal editions v3.0 does not change pages on windows 7. I even tried digital editions v2.1 but that still had the same problem. I am unable to navigate from page to page. Very frustrating as it makes it impossible to read the text book. Any suggestions on what to do?
