Unable to open acsm file

I have purchased a book through google play,

google only allows me to download a file with .acsm extension, it promises me that adobe digital editions is able to open and download the file,

upon trying to open the file, I get the following error,

Error getting license

Server communication problem: E_ADEPT_INTERNAL

I have added adobe edition to list of programs that can go past the windows firewall,

I have erased the key in system registery and deathorized and reauathorized, as they said,

PLEASE ANY HELP.

    I haven't seen that error appear like that, so no promises to this suggestions, but worth trying ....

    There are lots of bugs in ADE2.0.  Try replacing ADE2.0 with the older but more reliable v1.7.2.

    (You can have them both installed at once if you like.)

    Version 1.7.2, it is a little difficult to find, available on Adobe site for Windows and for Mac.
