Unable to return, PC must be authorised first"

I have been using Digital Editions for over 12 months now, today I tried to return some books and received the message " unable to return PC must be authorised first"

I have done nothing different, I did find a place to authorise and proceeded to do, however I still receive the error message.

Any assistance? I am unable to return books to enable me to borrow more.
