Unable to scroll through document in Digital Editions

I am no  longer able to scroll or preview a document in Adobe Digital Editions. I run through each chapter of the table of contents and it just stays on the same page. It works on other desktops, but not on one particular laptop. Is this a graphics card issue and is there a fix?
