unable to transfer a book, error copy not allowed

I cannot download a library book from ADE to my NOOK, error says CE_COPY_NOT_ALLOWED.  any help would be appreciated. (It worked fine until my son decided to "fix" it.)

    Please mention the book type "purchased" or "borrowed" from bookstore

    The book is borrowed from the library. I evidently screwed up installing ADE and didn't do so with my Adobe ID. Now it won't let me go back in and change my settings for this computer.
