Question

Unlock code

Adobe digital editions asks for an unlock code if I try to open a downloaded Nook book on my PC.  What is it?  How do I get it? Can it be bypassed somehow?

Thanks

Serena

    From http://bookclubs.barnesandnoble.com/t5/NOOK-First-Edition-General/Unlock-code/td-p/1425613

ADE 2.0 finally added support for the B&N DRM.

The unlock code are the credit card number and name of the default credit card of your B&N account.

And, no, it can't be bypassed.

Thanks so much for the information.  However, I'm having a problem applying it.  The full AMEx # and "American Express" are too big for the field provided.  If I abbreviate to AMEX, it doesn't work.  The number alone doesn't work.  Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

You need to ask B&N for exactly what they need.

I think the name part is your name as printed on the card, not the card issuer name.
