Unsuccessful installation of Digital Editions

Hi

I downloaded the installation file but it doesn't work. When I look under "details" it tells me, it's complete, when I click on the icon on the desktop it tells me it has encountered a problem and needs to close. I've tried it four times :-((((

    Thank you, Nanaky, for your response.

    Windows XP with all 3 patches installed, The link I found led me to ADE 4.0 only.

    I have been just advised by Elsevier to install version 3.0.

    P.S. I do have other computers, with Windows 7 but I work most on the XP one, because it has a lot of

    software I use on daily basis.
