Updating PS6

I have been trying for some time to update Photoshope CS6. The download goes smoothly until the very end when I get the error message Update Failed U44M1P7. This has happened over an extended period of many months. does anyone have a solution.

When I click on raw details I am taken to a list of installers with various dates. Am I being nudged to delete them all to give Adobe a fresh chance? Or what?
