User not activated

I have had my Nook for a couple of years.  No problems, until about 3 weeks ago.

Now, once I load a borrowed book to it  the nook, when I attempt to open it on the Nook it tells me "User not activated".

I have downloaded the lated version of the software, (3.0) still not allowing me to open books.

When I go into the nook from my computer, it says it is activated.

Pretty frustrated at this point.

Any advice?
