Using Adobe digital editon on a mac

I just recently switched to a mac desktop from windows vista and have been using this program on vista to read my books, I am having a problem with the book mark option being greyed out, i have tried closing the program and trying again but no luck.

Any help?  thank you

    Are you opening the files from the library are you double clicking on the file from the Finder?  If you don't open the file from the finder all the annotation options will be grayed out.
