Viewing on multiple devices

Hi, I bought ebook earlier today, and downloaded it onto my PC. However, on trying  to download it to my ipad (via third party software eg Overdrive or  Bluefire), Im told that when first downloaded i had a different Adobe  ID. I did changed my password on Adobe ID in order to set up Bluefire,  because i couldnt remember it. But I only changed the password, not the  ID name. Yet it wont accept my request to download to ipad as the ID is  wrong.
