W_ADEPT_CORE_WRONG_DEVICE

I downloaded the Adobe Digital Editions application and book just fine on my Windows 10 laptop. Works great.

The problem comes when I try to read the book on another device. I download, install, and authorize the app on a Surface Pro 4 and an android phone, in neither case does the book populate. I moved the *.acsm and pdf to the Surface and it populates, but when I try to open it I get W_ADEPT CORE_WRONG_DEVICE.

On the file that does work it says viewing on a single device (copy/print on any), but I can't see how to disable it on the laptop and put it on my Surface, if that's the issue.

I've never used Adobe Digital Editions before and I uninstalled/reinstalled ADE from the Surface, same problem.
