What is an ID provider?

I can't open my books in ADE because it ask me an ID provider for that book.

Its the ID which are used for the authorize of the eBook. If you authoirze Digital Edition before you download the eBook its your adobe id. If authorize not before you download/open its a empty authorize. In this case you can the eBook not open. Ask your reaseller for a new download which are linked with your Adobe ID.
