what to do about 2 Adobe IDs

I seem to have 2 Adobe IDs. Probably one with my old email address (which I no longer have access to) and one with my current email address. I am trying to download an ebook I purchased to a second iPad. When I do I get a message saying "This item was originally downloaded with a different user account or Adobe ID." What should I do?
