When I download a epub ebook from overdrive it does not show up in Adobe Digital Editions

I am trying to download a epub ebook borrowed from the library. When I download it and try to open it using ADE, ADE takes me through a setup making me agree to terms and conditions and so on. Once I go through that the ebook does not show up in ADE.
