When trying to tranfer a book to my tablet, my device did not show up in Adobe Digital Editions. I connected my device before opening Adobe as instructed. Is there any solution to this?

I connected my device before opening Adobe as instructed. Is there any solution to this? I closed everything, disconnected my tablet, and then reconnected and tried opening Adobe again. Still not showing my device. Then I proceeded to restart my laptop and it still did not show up.
