why can't I authorize any device at all?

When I try to authorize any device I get an error message with the only option to "Try Again" which doesn't work. I had the same problem setting up an ID in photoshop. Got a similar error message, so I just quit trying and use photoshop without an ID. What's going on?

    Can you log into the Adobe website with the ID/password you are using?

    Indeed, is it the ID you used to get onto this forum?

    Don't run ADE without an ID. 

    It will mean books you access can't be transferred to other devices,

    and if you ever do run with an ID, the books you accessed previously without ID will no longer be readable.
