Why does 4-book collection of Game of Thrones crash Digital Editions 4.0.2 every time I attempt to transfer it to my Nook.

I've used Digital Editions to download dozens of books from my local library, but this one book crashes DE every time I try to trans fer it from DE to my Nook Color
