why does it keep quitting?

Almost every time I download an EPUB book and try to open it with adobe digital editions, it loads and then quits. When I reopen the software and try to open the book, it automatically quits again. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? It effectively renders the software unusable.

I have the same problem. It keeps quitting when I try to transfer acsm files onto my Kobo. This has been happening for months for 8/10 of the books I attempt to transfer. Very frustrating. I was hoping it would be resolved with a software version upgrade but I just installed 4.03 and no improvement. I don't want to see "Adobe Digital Editions quit unexpectedly." ever again!
