Why does the ebook copy to NOOK cause my PC to lock up?

PC runs windows 10. Copying of ebook appears to work but doesn't release PC when copy is completed. Cancel doesn't work. The only way I can complete the transfer is restart my PC which closes the app.

    I too have a similar problem with a different e-reader however restarting the PC does also not complete the transfer. Adobe support is useless for Digital Editions, since it's free.

    Same issue. Irritating to say the least that this chat is the only way to reach out to customer service. ugh
