Why won't a library book download to my Adobe?

I just got a new laptop with Windows 8.1 (ugh!) and now I can't seem to download library books into the Adobe program. What do I need to do?

    You need to transfer the ebooks to your new laptop and you can add the ebooks to library as:

    File -> Add to Library ->Select the transferred ebook.

    Hope this works !!
