Won't Authorize Document

Books transferred to ereader via digital editions give error "this document is protected by Adobe DRM and is not currently authorized for use with your Adobe ID".  Just started getting this error this week - I'm still signed in with the same ID on the digital editions and the ereader. How do I fix this?
