Won't properly install digital edition 2 or 3

After downloading digital edition and going through the steps it says completed and the only option is to click "close". When i press close it says "delete file..." but closes too fast for me to see the rest after delete file. Then, when I try to down an e-book and open it, it tries to repair the installation and goes through the same process over again. I don't know what to do as it did this with both the second and third editions. I've tried to completely uninstall and reinstall but I don't know how to get it to stop deleting whatever file it is deleting, as it is clearly important. I have windows 7 and I'm using google chrome as my browser. What kind of settings could be deleting a file?
