Working on two laptops

I just downloaded Edition 4.5 on my school laptop and authorised it, but cannot see the books in my existing library. It is on my personal laptop which has version 3.0 on it. Any suggestions?

I am not sure how to update the version on my personal computer as it has never prompted me to upgrade... I am afraid I might lose all my textbooks and teachers' guides.
